How To Do :- Masking! (Specially for Tina!)

Hello Everyone!
If you have visited my blog this week you will have noticed I have been using a technique on my cards called 'Masking'. This is a stamping technique where you can make 2 seperate stamps look like 1 =) Here is a picture of a card I have used this on :-
I am going to show you a step-by-step on how to do this technique as a few people have asked me how I do this, one of those was Tina so you have no excuse not to try this!

STEP 1 :START - WHAT YOU WILL NEED:-
* 2 Stamps you want to 'Mask' with.
* Post-It Notes
* White Card
* Inkpad & Acyrlic Block

STEP 2
* Position the stamp you want in the foreground onto the acrylic block. I have used Tilda as I want to create the effect of her sitting on something.

STEP 3
* Stamp once onto the white card and once onto the Post-It Note. You may notice I have had to use 2 notes to fit the stamp on. Make sure the sticky side of the note is not on the same side as the ink.

STEP 4
* Cut around the Tilda on the post it note very carefully, make sure you cut into all the crevices but be carefull not to chop anything off! lol Place her ontop of the image you stamped on the white card, making sure it is positioned exactly the same.

STEP 5
* Position the 2nd stamp you want to use which will be in the 'background' onto the acrylic block and ink it up.

STEP 6
* Place the 2nd stamp over the image in the place that you want it. I tried to position mine just underneath her hands so it appears that she is sitting on top.

STEP 7
* Remove the stamp from the Image, you will notice part of the design is on the post-it note, this is good!

STEP 8 - FINISH
* Simply remove the post-it note from on top of the white card and you will see that you now have 2 stamps looking like one! Simply cut out,colour and add it to your card =)

I hope I managed to explain everything okay for you! If there are parts you don't really understand feel free to e-mail me. Although I do hope the pictures help you. I will add this in my right-side column under 'TUTORIALS' if you ever need to refer to it again! Good Luck! xxx
