Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes + Option of a Sketch !

Good Morning!

It's time for a brand new challenge over at CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS!
The theme this fortnight is Anything Goes + Option of a Sketch!
As the title suggests the choice to use a sketch is completely yours. If you would like to do so then you can either use the one suggested in this post or you can choose from any of the others on the sketches page over on the blog!

I decided not to use a sketch this time and instead made a Clean & Simple 'Thank You' card. Just what you need at this time of you when you'd like to say thank you for gifts received over the festive period!
A couple of weeks ago I made a Christmas card in this particular style so I thought I'd borrow the same layout and style for today's creation.

Favourite Five Christmas Cards of 2016 !

Good Morning!

Each year I share my favourite five Christmas themed creations that I have made though the past year. This has become somewhat of a tradition! As with most things I've shared this year it's a little later than usual, but seeing as it's Boxing Day there's still time to join in with the festivities!

First up is a card where I used a sentiment stamp as the focal point. I don't always remember to use my Die cuts when making a card but I made sure to do so on this particular design, even adding some sparkle for a finishing touch! I decided to stick to a cool and frosty colour scheme as a change to your usual Christmas colours!

Speaking of traditional Christmas colours next up is a card full of them! 

This time I have used an image from a Maja Design 12x12 sheet as the main focal point which has of course been paired with more of their design papers. Not only do I love the vintage feel of this card but it also helped me win the November Maja Design Mood Board Challenge which was a lovely surprise!

I couldn't make a list without throwing in one using one of my favourite colour schemes at Christmas, white on white. I love the elegance this colour gives you when used on it's own!

This next card isn't quite so different from the previous. Clean and Simple cards are another of my favourite styles and are a godsend when you need to make more than one in a row! The stamp that I have used for this card is one of my favourite's and is perfect for this style. I do like to finish the card however with some sparkly embellishments, adding the only colour to the design!

Lastly is a card in my usual style, I just wish I had more hours to sit and craft! This year my favourite colour overall has seemed to be red, perfect for the fantastic Santa stamps also released this year by Stamping Bella! This one is my favourite from the 3 designs and I can see it being used on many more creations in the future!

It's Finally Here ... It's Christmas Eve !

Good Morning!

I can't believe it's arrived already, it's Christmas Eve! 

I know I've said it a lot throughout the year but I really can't believe how fast time has gone by this year! If you team that with work and other commitments outside of that the chances to sit and craft have been sparce! So I apologise for the poor amount of creations this year.

Today's card was unplanned as I only made it yesterday morning, after having this stamp for months I'd finally got the chance to ink it up!

I'm a little late posting this morning, simply because I have only just made my card as I shamefully forgot all about it until last night ... I blame the excitement of putting my Christmas Decorations over the past 2 days, hehe!

Fox in the Snow ...

Good Morning!

They say things happen in three's and that's certainly true considering today's creation! 

This is my third card in a row featuring an image that I haven't coloured myself. This image is a little different however as it's actually from a shop bought Christmas card! 

I bought a cushion with this exact design on last year and as soon as I saw the design as a set of Christmas cards from the RSPB I knew I had to snap them up. I die cut the image from the original card and used it as a topper on one of mine!
